Moisture is one of the most common reasons a floor coating lets go in BC. Water vapour moving up through a concrete slab builds pressure under a sealed coating, and over time it can blister and lift the floor. How long before I can walk or drive on the floor?+
Foot traffic is typically fine within 24 hours and vehicle traffic within a few days, depending on the system and temperature. We provide exact cure times for your project.
Do you test the concrete for moisture before coating?+
Yes. We test the slab for moisture and condition during the free on-site assessment, before we recommend a system. If the slab shows moisture, mitigation goes into the quote so the coating bonds and stays down.
Will epoxy peel or lift over time?+
Not when it is installed correctly. Peeling almost always traces back to poor prep or untested moisture. Our mechanical grinding, moisture testing and repair process is what keeps our floors bonded and warrantied.
